PRESIDENT'S  MESSAGE


Sometimes Mother Nature cooperates and sometimes she most assuredly does not. Last weekend we had beautiful, sunny skies for both the Farmer's Market and our field trip to see the yellow flowers.  We had a lot of interest in our club at the Farmer's Market and several people added their name to our mailing list.  The airboat ride was great fun, Captain Ron was very accommodating taking us where we wanted to go and even managed to get us over to see the ancient cyprus trees after the yellow flowers. I think everyone who went would recommend it as a great way to take photos. Unfortunately, the weather this weekend was not as cooperative and events were cancelled or rescheduled.

As I write this I know we are all preparing for the worst, hoping for the best and wondering just what Hurricane Matthew will do.  My hope is that all of you came through the storm safe and sound.

CLUB MEETING - OCTOBER 17
Photo Review   

For our meeting bring 5 - 7 pictures taken at recent events or any other recent photos in a folder labeled "OPC Review" on a thumb drive that contains only those photos. Use a labeled folder with only those photos in it to make it easy for our projectionist.

PS. Please bring your cameras to the meeting.

CITY HALL SUBMISSIONS
City Hall & Annex Gallery
Theme:  Oviedo Area Parks

Deadline for submissions is midnight, October 19, 2016.

We have opened submissions for the next round of photos for our galleries in City Hall and the Annex next door.  

The theme is Oviedo Area Parks and our curator will be selecting 5 new photos for City Hall and 3 more to go into the Annex along with the 5 being taken down from City Hall. 

Please check our website and click the link below the Calendar in Upcoming Events for a list of the parks and the submission guidelines. 

Submissions are to be uploaded to the gallery named "Oviedo Parks theme deadline Oct. 19" located under Events in the Non-Public area of Zenfolio. 

You must be a current club member to participate.
